For a drinking water facility, Avilo supplied two identical nitrogen skids equipped with Parker NITROSource Compact PSA nitrogen generators. The systems produce dry nitrogen for applications including the drying of degassing membranes.
Continuity as the starting point
The nitrogen supply plays an important role in the water treatment process. To minimise downtime, two identical systems were selected. Both skids can operate independently and serve as backups for one another.
This ensures that nitrogen remains available when one of the systems is temporarily out of operation, for example during maintenance.
This increases operational reliability and reduces the risk of process interruptions.
Two complete skid mounted systems
Avilo designed and built two identical custom made skids. Each skid is equipped with:
- a Parker NITROSource Compact PSA nitrogen generator
- an Alup compressor
- a buffer tank
- custom made pipework
- a compact skid frame
The Parker nitrogen generators produce nitrogen on site. This eliminates the need for an external nitrogen supply and provides the customer with an independent and continuously available gas supply. The nitrogen is used as an inert and dry gas.
Fully assembled and tested
Avilo fully built, assembled and tested both skids at its own workshop. This allowed the operation of the complete systems to be verified before transport and any necessary adjustments to be made immediately.
The skids were then transported to the customer’s site as complete units. This reduced the installation time on site and enabled smooth integration into the existing process.
Designed for the application
The skids were designed based on the required nitrogen capacity, the available space and the desired level of operational reliability.
Avilo managed the complete design, technical coordination and system construction, delivering two complete custom made nitrogen skids.
