Avilo celebrates 25 years of specialist expertise in nitrogen and compressed air 🎉

In 2026, Avilo Nitrogen and Compressed Air Systems celebrates its 25th anniversary. What started in 2001 from an attic office has grown into an established name in nitrogen and compressed air systems. The anniversary marks twenty five years of technical development, expertise and long term partnerships.

From specialist to all round partner

Avilo was founded in 2001 by Jaap van Vliet with a clear focus on on site nitrogen solutions. The first years were dedicated to building the company. The first service van and the first service engineer were important milestones. Shortly thereafter, in 2005, the very first Avilo nitrogen generator was built.

Following the introduction of its first in house generator, further professionalisation took place. Avilo developed generators with its own sheet metal design and touchscreen control. Projects increased in scale and complexity. Between 2010 and 2015, the portfolio was expanded with compressed air systems, laboratory gas generators and complete turnkey installations.

Growth went hand in hand with increasing technical expertise. In addition to supply, engineering, construction, installation and commissioning became a structural part of the service offering. Avilo supports customers throughout the entire lifecycle of a system. Alongside engineering, installation and maintenance, Avilo provides support with certifications, recertifications and full guidance during inspection processes.

Investing in technology, application and delivering more

According to founder Jaap van Vliet, Avilo has always been built on courage, innovation and collaboration. Over the past 25 years, this foundation has developed into an organisation where technology and service come together. The focus is on supporting customers in their processes, with clear agreements and a fixed point of contact.

As an authorised Parker distributor, Avilo provides direct access to a broad portfolio of components and spare parts. Combined with in house engineering and service, this results in an integrated approach aligned with the customer’s daily operations.

Part of Interfilter Group

In 2024, Avilo became part of Interfilter Group. A logical step in which expertise in nitrogen, compressed air and filtration is brought together within one organisation. Within the Group, Avilo strengthens the offering in gas and compressed air systems, while knowledge and expertise are shared to provide the right solution for every application.
